Overview

This linear walk goes through Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve, and past the Lido and beach. We continue along the Hillingdon Trail with some short climbs over hills to Harefield and the Grand Union Canal, where we stop for lunch. We leave the canal to walk through Batchworth Lakes to Rickmansworth.

Lunch: Pub or picnic by the Grand Union Canal.

Toilets: available at several points en route.

Train: underground or Chiltern Line train to Northwood Hills station for a 11 o’clock start. This and the return from Rickmansworth are free to London Councils Freedom Pass holders.
