Overview

The navigation student asked Professor Cunning ‘Is it possible to walk on 8 separate named trails on a route that is less than 10 miles?’.  The Professor consulted OS Maps and replied ‘The Oxdrove Octathlon based around Alresford satisfies the criterion, but you will be walking several of the trails contemporaneously!’.  Eastleigh Ramblers are proud to give you the opportunity to walk: (1) Watercress Way; (2) Three Castles Path; (3) Oxdrove Way; (4) Wayfarer’s Walk; (5) St James’ Way; (6) Itchen Way; (7) St Swithun’s Way; and (8) Allan King Way.  To avoid any risk of infringing image copyright please see a photograph of Neil and Helen on the summit of Sgurr nan Gillean, of no relevance at all to the Octathlon.

No booking required.  Map OS Explorer OL32.  Please bring refreshments and lunch for two breaks en route.
