We walk through Paices Woods, passing the Wildlife Pond before entering Howell’s Woods. From here we follow the path through the peaceful Wasing Woodlands and head towards the Ashford Hill National Nature Reserve. This area is full of varied woodlands, heathlands and ponds, and provides many opportunities for seeing wildlife. We head through the Reserve and eventually will pick our way via various footpaths through the edge of town before heading back into Paices Wood. We finish the walk by skirting the edges of the fishing ponds. There is one stile to navigate which is good condition. The B3051 is crossed twice, which can be a busy road. This is a mostly flat walk with a few sharp inclines. There are several wooden bridges to cross, which can be very slippery.
Please bring refreshments for a mid-walk break.
The walk is limited to 15 people. Please book online before 6.00pm 30th January.
This is a winter walk so please wear appropriate clothing and expect it to be muddy.
