We are the Brighton and Hove Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a shorter than usual Saturday walk but well worth it! We climb up onto the Downs through pretty woodland & briefly join the South Downs Way before descending through a green, open valley. Then it's up through woodland to reach open land & glorious views (weather permitting) looking south east. We stay up high for some distance & have more lovely views to the north. Then a gradual descent followed by a slow incline to join the SDW again before a gentle drop back to the start.
Parts will be muddy underfoot with some steeper chalky slopes.
There is a carpark behind the Half Moon pub which is used by walkers. Also a lay-by outside on the side road. Car sharing suggested.
