Overview

Starting at Pork Hill our walk will follow the Grimstone and Sortridge Leat over to Merrivale and on down the valley of the River Walkham as far as Ward Bridge, the lowest part of the walk. We then climb up around behind Sampford Spiney to Pew Tor where if the weather is good we will stop for lunch. The remainder of the walk will take in Heckwood and Feather Tor, Windy Post and Barn Hill.

The route is on open moorland that could be wet and muddy, tracks (can be rocky) and roads. Down for the first half and then steep up until Pew Tor.

There will be stops for coffee and lunch. In fair weather the ice cream van will be at the end!

Please book by text to walk leader.
