Overview

Walk across open moorland starting on the Two Moors Way up to Hookney Tor and down to the prehistoric site of Grimspound. Then to Challacombe, hopefully with swathes of bluebells on the fields around Challacombe farm (the bluebells photo is from May 2023). On the way back we’ll be passing remnants of the Golden Dagger tin mine, including a buddle!

Tracks and paths with some ups and downs and probably muddy in places after rain. One short stretch of the walk near the Redwater stream is wet underfoot even in dry weather. Dogs on leads.

Bring a drink for our coffee break.

Please book by texting the walk leader (no emails).

Option for refreshment at the Warren House Inn afterwards.
