Overview

Important Note: Pre-booking required (see below.) Walkers must bring all food and drink they require as this walk does not include any retail outlets or pub stops.

Puttenham and the Welcome Woods - a leisurely circular walk along parts of the North Downs Way. Meet at Puttenham Common top car park in time for departure at 10.00am. Leaving the unparalleled views from the car park we join part of the Fox Way to the picturesque Puttenham Village and its ancient priory. From there we join part of the North Downs Way with occasional sweeping views before entering wooded landscape on permissive paths. Passing through Culverswell Hill and Crooksbury Common we enter Britty Woods and lower Puttenham Common before reaching the tranquil and historic (and infamous !) Cutmill Pond. Finally we pass the architecturally noteworthy Rodsall Manor before a short climb back to the cars at Puttenham top car park.
