Back by popular demand, a pre-Easter stroll between three historic coastal towns.
We take a leisurely walk through Ramsgate down to the harbour and then onto Broadstairs for an early lunch at The Charles Dickens (see website link below). I reserved some places but please let me know by Friday 20th March if you'd like a pub lunch so I can confirm numbers.
The bulk of the walk is after lunch as we head round the sweeping Thanet bays to Margate where there is the possibility of tea/cake, a quick visit to the Turner gallery, or a swift beer.
Catch the 9.40 train from St Pancras (9.48 from Stratford International) or meet at Ramsgate Station at 11.03. Buy a Cheap Day Return to Margate.
The walk is mainly along the cliffs with some parts along the promenade at beach level (affording the possibility of some walking on the sand for those who prefer), It is mainly flat except for a few steep-ish sets of steps up and down from the cliffs. As we are walking on hard surfaces, people may prefer not to wear walking boots.
There is no obvious drop-out point unless people want to leave or join at Broadstairs (about an hour into the walk) - if the latter, please let me know so we can co-ordinate a meeting time/place
