A walk taking in part of the North Downs, including the great views from Colley Hill and Box Hill, and passing through Headley Heath and other areas away from the main North Downs ridge. We will also visit the Betchworth Castle ruins and Deepdene Estate gardens near Dorking. Total ascent 600m.
Pub stop at end. Please bring a packed lunch.
Terrain: Hills, woods, fields
Travel: Take the 9:38 from London Victoria (Clapham Junction 9:45, East Croydon 9:56), arrive Reigate 10:24.
Buy a single to Reigate, and a single back from Dorking (the two stations are on different lines from London).
