Overview

A moderate-paced circular walk - easy walking and no stiles! 10 miles but drop-out  possible at Kingston Vale - frequent buses.

Route: Along riverside, through Richmond Park (entering through Richmond Gate and exiting through Ladderstile Gate) to Dorich House Museum (67 Kingston Vale, SW15 3RN) – the studio home of Dora Gordine and Richard Hare -(free admission) - for an extended lunch break. Then through a corner of Wimbledon Common to re-enter Richmond Park through Robin Hood Gate and exit the park through Cambrian Gate to follow a succession of pleasant roads and paths back to the station.

Lunch:  picnic in the garden at Dorich House (hot drinks and cakes are available but no savouries. Card payments only). 

Meet at Richmond Station (Zone 4) at 10.30.

Travel: District Line/Overground and trains from Waterloo.

Ticket/Fare: Oyster/Contactless/Freedom Pass.
