Overview

An attractive linear 10.5 mile walk on mainly level ground with some short climbs through the Valley Gardens. 

Route: from Sunningdale through Cowthorn Park and Windsor Great Park, passing through Valley Gardens to see the display of azaleas and rhododendrons. After lunch the walk enters Windsor Deer Park and finishes with the Long Walk from the Copper Horse statue to the gates of Windsor Castle and then through the town.

Lunch stop at the Saville Gardens Restaurant but please bring own picnic.

Meet at Sunningdale Station at 10:31. 

Travel: Waterloo 09.36/Vauxhall 09.40/Clapham Junction 09.47 (Reading service) - arr Sunningdale 10.31.

Ticket/Fare: Buy Off-Peak Day Return to Sunningdale.

Finish: Windsor & Eton Riverside Station at about 4.30.
