We are the Ramblers group for eastern Carmarthenshire. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

A linear walk along a section of the newly opened Towy Valley cycle path. We will catch the 280 bus from Capel Saron, New Road, Llandeilo. We will get off at Broad Oak then walk along quiet lanes until we reach the cycle path. We then stay on the path until it ends at Ffairfach, from where it’s a short distance across the fields to Llandeilo bridge and back into town.
A chance to spot bird life on the river, views of Dinefwr castle, and a ‘singing’ bridge. We will stop for drinks and snacks but should be back in Llandeilo by lunchtime.
Ride and Ramble: Using our local public transport system, an occasional series combining the freedom of a point to point walk with the adventure of a bus or train ride.

From our meeting point, a short bus ride from Llandeilo service 280 (the same bus leaves Llandovery car park at 8.50), to alight at Broad Oak. Bring money or your concessionary Travel Card if you have one. The walk then returns us back to Llandeilo.
The walk is mostly flat 4.5 miles on easy walking surfaces.
Dogs on leads welcome. Owners to check suitability for dogs with the bus service operator Morris Travel.
