This is an easy walk along the beautiful River Avon in Stratford Upon Avon to include, Bancroft Gardens, Lucy’s Mill and the Nature Reserve. The full walk is 5.5 mile but you could choose to do 3 miles only as it is a figure of eight walk. The walk leaders intend to use the X19 Redditch to Stratford Upon Avon bus for the journey from and return to Alcester. However, there are multiple car parks in Stratford Upon Avon if you wish to drive. Bus passengers please be aware that we will leave the Bulls Head Car Park at 9.25 a.m. prompt to walk to the bus stop to catch the 9.41 bus to Stratford Upon Avon. The walk will include a short stop for refreshments and will finish by 13.30 approximately. There are public toilets at the Alcester Car Park and at Waterside in Stratford Upon Avon. The 9.41 bus arrives at Wood Street, Stratford Upon Avon at 10.12 a.m. allowing time for a toilet stop.
Bus passengers can select their options from the return buses to Alcester.
Depart Stratford at: 14:14. Arrive Alcester 14.50. The 15.15 departure is also a school bus so it will be busy. The next bus will depart at 16.25 and arrive in Alcester at 17.00.
