This 9 mile circular walk starts from the Village Hall and crosses the bridge the other side of the green before following the river northwards through the edge of Bishop Hagg Wood. We continue northwards across open fields to Appleton-le-Moors where our route turns eastwards joining the Tabular Hills Walk for a short way before again turning northwards along Spaunton's Lane to Spaunton village. We then descend to the village of Lastingham with it's ancient church of St. Mary, the last resting place of St. Cedd in the Saxon crypt. Our return to Sinnington roughly follows the route of the River Seven.
Some parking outside the village hall, otherwise roadside parking - please be careful not to block any driveways.
