A walk through Savernake Forest following tracks and paths from the car park to the Column and then a different route back. There should be some fungi on route and possibly the start of the autumn colour. As this is a woodland walk mud can be expected in places but it is reasonable flat, with no stiles.
Bring refreshments for 2 stops.

Park in the Postern Hill car park, off the A346 and meet by the information board opposite the toilets and The Bumble Oak.
