This walk takes us up Martinsell Hill and then descends to Milkhouse Water on the K&A which we will follow to Wootton Rivers. After a visit to the Church, we will walk up through the village to Mud Lane. If the season is right, this section of the walk has the most wonderful display of bluebells and spring flowers. It is along this section that we should also see the Green Man. Good views are hoped for too.
Expect stiles and some mud. Chalk can be very slippery when wet. Sticks may be useful and there may be livestock enroute.
Please bring a snack and a drink. We will be back for lunch.
You must book with the leader in the week preceding. Text preferred. You are not confirmed until you get a reply. Dogs are at the leader's discretion.
Meet and park in the small parking area at Clench Common. This is on the top of a hill and is reached by turning off the A345 at the signpost for Wootton Rivers. If you start to descend and reach Wootton Rivers, you have gone too far!
