Overview

The walk starts with a steep ascent of Walker’s Hill, offering fine views. The route goes west towards Milk Hill, passing Alton Barnes White Horse. On reaching the Wansdyke, we soon turn off and follow tracks and a minor road towards Stanton St. Bernard. We join the Kennet and Avon Canal and follow it to Honeystreet. A short section along a road leads to the village of Alton Barnes, before ascending a track, back to the start. One refreshment stop.
