The walk begins by heading up to Martinsell Hill, with fine views over the Pewsey Vale. On towards Giant’s Grave, with a steep descent to the fields below. The route joins the K&A Canal at Pain’s Bridge, and continues to the pretty village of Wootton Rivers. On leaving the village the walk follows good tracks and joins the bridleway through a wood, along Mud Lane and back to the start. One refreshment stop.

Small car park area on Clench Common. This is reached from the A345 turning off the main road in the village of Clench Common and heading towards Wootton Rivers.
