A 12.5 mile circular walk from Shanklin via Bonchurch Down and Appuldurcombe Down.  Packed lunch.  Possible Afternoon Tea / Pub stop in Godshill or Shanklin.

Buy return train fare to Shanklin, via Wightlink, from any mainland station (i.e. including the ferry).

If travelling by train from west of Portsmouth, note that the 09.05 GWR service from Southampton to Portsmouth Harbour (arrive 09.51) will not be running due to the ASLEF strike.  All other trains are running as normal.  The National Rail Journey Planner has been updated to reflect this.

Meet at Wightlink Fastcat terminal to catch the 10.15 ferry from Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier Head (arrives 10.37). We will then catch the 10.44 train from Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin (arrives 11.10).
