Start from Ship Inn [Ley lines meet] walk over meadow at rear of
Ship Inn [old battle field and iron age fort] Hog Clough past Bronze age Barrow past Bartomley, to paved Roman Rd and Slide Ford. On to double circle of druid stones [Ley lines meet] follow lane to Hammerton Farm above Wincle Church [Built on a Stone Age Barrow.]pick up Roman paved Rd again towards Wild Boar public house. Follow footpath West towards Barlow Hill, Top House lane [ Roman check point]to Wincle Grange. [Sacked during reformation] back to Dane Bridge.
