This is a short walk which will loop along the Prestwick Beach, the adjacent golf course path and Prestwick Esplanade (it is a short part of the Ayrshire Coastal Path).
We will start from the middle car park adjacent to Prestwick beach (The Cafe - Mancini on the Beach is nearby, but not as far along as Kidsplay). We will go up a flight of steps and join the path that runs adjacent to the golf course and walk along as far as Pow Burn, then drop down to join the beach and loop back to the esplanade and the Cafe Mancini on the Beach The option to walk further along the esplanade (linear walk) can be made on the day.
The path adjacent to the golf course is undulating (sand dunes) but does not really require poles (personal choice). We will need to take the tide into account when on the beach but walking shoes / trainers will be sufficient.

Meeting in the Car park between Mancinis on the Beach and Kidsplay. OR at the bottom of a set of stairs that leads up onto the path adjacent to the golf course. When you arrive in Prestwick having passed the airport you turn right at the traffic lights , drive past the railway station (on right) and when you reach the sea turn right and follow the road, parking in any of the carparks except the 1st one (it is reserved for buses & camper vans).
