Overview

3+ miles circular. The walk entails a fairly steep climb near the start, hence the slightly shorter length than the usual four miles. Much of the walk is on hard paved surfaces, but there are stretches on earthen paths where muddy patches are likely. A descent which is quite steep in places is involved at one point in the walk; there is one reasonably easy stile on that descent. We see some above ground evidence of Netherton Tunnel en-route, so this walk compliments our previous walk that actually took us through the Tunnel (we don’t tackle the Tunnel this time!). At the highest point on the walk, we have splendid views out beyond Netherton and Brierley Hill. We will stop for a refreshment break near Cobb’s Engine House en-route. You will need to bring your own refreshments as we do not pass the Visitor Centre on our way.
