Overview

C WALK DESCRIPTION. Dorridge, Lapworth and Packwood. Leader: Eva Hyde. This circular walk sets off to Dorridge Park then enters a board walk through woodland. Once out of the woodland, our route continues south mostly on field paths and some sections of road. We cross the Stratford canal by Drawbridge farm and continue through more fields to the church of St Mary the Virgin at Lapworth, where there may be a display of snowdrops. Leaving the church via field paths, we join the Stratford canal and walk on the tow path beside some locks. We then head back north along a road past Packwood House, a National Trust property, and then to St Giles church, and Packwood Hall. We finish by following a lane back towards Dorridge park and the station, with, if time permits, a possible detour to a pub.  Total Distance 8 miles, largely flat. Expect mud in places.
