Overview

Walking from Church Road (Top Road), Slindon (Nr to Slindon College) we will head North along Butt Lane, passing Downe’s Barn before we begin our steady and gradual ascent into the South Downs bordering Little Down, Great Down and heading east to Great Bottom. Eventually we will follow Monarchs Way south easterly downhill and bordering Houghton Forest. Leaving Monarchs Way we turn westward climbing again and walk past a vineyard towards Madehurst.
Walking along private, quiet roads (tarmacadam surface) we then head into farmland once again and return to Slindon.
