This is a circular walk which can be extended into a figure of eight should you decide to carry on to the pretty village of Swainswick, where you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the village church. The spectacular views from Solsbury Hill are achieved after a fairly steep walk but there is no rush-we can sit and enjoy the unfolding views as we go. We will be walking through summer meadows and quiet country lanes with little to no traffic, no livestock and no stiles. Lunch will be spent watching the butterflies and dragonflies darting in and out of the bulrushes beside the reservoir.
