Overview

The walk starts at South Stainley visiting Brearton, Burton Leonard, Bishop Monkton and finishing at Wormald Green. A mixture of tarmac tracks, green lanes and field paths. There are some stiles and some muddy areas.

Catch the Northern train from York to Harrogate at 8.45 arr Harrogate at 9.20. Buy a return ticket. We then catch the No 36 bus from Harrogate bus station at 9.40 arr at South Stainley approx 10.05.

Return buses are every half hour from Wormald Green back to Harrogate and then the trains back to York are also every half hour.
