We are the Mid Staffordshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting from Old Road, Stone our walk takes us into Stone, visiting The Mill & St Michael & St Wulfad's church & a short stretch of the Trent & Mersey Canal. From there walk through Stone Meadows along a pleasant stretch of the River Trent to visit the Peace Pole.
We then rejoin the Trent & Mersey to Meaford Old Hall Farm and then on to Common Plot back to our starting point.
There are two stiles on the route, and there may be cattle in one of the fields. We will have a couple of short breaks during the walk so please bring your own refreshments.
Join us at Aston Marina after the walk (5 minutes drive, A51, ST15 8QU, signs for Uttoxeter)
