 We start by walking a quiet lane heading towards Christian Malford. We then turn towards Melsome Wood, and head towards a short climb to take us up close to the site of a holy well, and some abbey remains. We'll take a short break before heading alongside the disused airfield, now a solar farm, before making our descent to see the Foxham Locks and then back to the pub for a refreshing drink.

For those members who are happy to car share, we meet first at the Bath Road car park in Chippenham. (“Pay and Display”). Lifts are suggested at £1.30.
