This is a fab and relatively straight forward walk with views over the Wessex downs, three ancient hill forts, woodland ponds, with  Longleat estate in the distance and the second half is FLAT. What’s more parking is free!  Our half way destination is the village of Heytesbury and maybe a stop at the pub. What could be better!  Oh, and only a handful of stiles.

Please bring a packed lunch.

We start from just off Battlesbury Rd, Warminster on a concrete military access road on your left if coming from Chippenham. Parking is on the road as close to the start point as possible. Contact walk leader Rod to reserve your place on this walk and tell him if you are going direct or require car share.
