If you are a Ramblers member, please bring your membership card. You MUST text or ring the leader to BOOK a place. You should not join the walk unless you have received a verbal CONFIRMATION or a TEXT.
This ramble starts from the medieval village of Lacock, known for its historic buildings and filming locations. Heading out along the tow path and farmland to the Bowood estate and lake, then heading back along country lanes. Some steep gradients, some muddy terrain possible.
Please bring your lunch.
For those members who are happy to car share, we meet first at the Bath Road car park in Chippenham. (“Pay and Display”). Lifts are suggested at £0.80. Contact walk leader Pamela to reserve your place on this walk and to tell her if you are going direct or require car share.
Today's walk starts from The Red Lion car park, Lacock,(free parking). Additional parking is available at the National Trust car park, which is free for NT members or £5 for the day. O/S Explorer 156.
