An easy walk from Sykehouse through farmland and along a stretch of the River Don and the Knottingley & Goole canal. Closed and impassable footpaths on the original route means that there are several stretches of walking along quiet roads on the diversion. 4 stiles and 9 step-through gates on the return leg. The George pub will be open at the end of the walk should you fancy refreshments/food, no other toilets en route.
Considerate verge parking on Chapel Lane or Broad Lane in Sykehouse ( near church or pub). Walk starts at the bus stop opposite the church on Broad Lane (W3W latitudes.pokers.evoke)
