Overview

Walking to Tal Y Bont Reservoir (built in 1930's to supply water to Newport), via Usk Valley Walk, admiring the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside and the industrial heritage on our way.

Returning, we retrace our steps for a short way (to avoid road walking), then onto The Henry Vaughan Way (a 17th century poet born in Tal Y Bont) and finally, a stretch on the canal back to Pencelli.
