A walk from Elsecar Station through the Wentworth Woodhouse estate finishing at Keppel's Column over a variety of landscapes and elevations.
Catch the 09:35 Northern Huddersfield service from Sheffield as far as Elsecar Station.

We'll walk up to the Needles' Eye for our coffee break. Then onto the Wentworth Woodhouse estate having a lunch stop by the Dog Kennel Pond. A walk through woods follows and leads us up to Keppel's Column.
We then have a short walk to Dropping Well for a 135 bus into Rotherham where we'll catch the tram (or train) back to Sheffield centre.
Some of the paths in the woods maybe muddy after recent rain but the walk is mostly over good paths. There are just 4 stiles
