A rural ramble in quiet Cotswold country, with great views if weather is fine.
We walk down the valley from Tresham, eventually reaching Alderley, where we stop for coffee at the church (bring own drink, snack).
We continue across fields and a long steady incline back to Tresham.
There are a few stiles and cattle in one field.
N.B. Limited parking. Please car-share if possible.
M4 to Junction 18 (Bath and Stroud). Then north on A46 in direction of Stroud.
After about 7 miles, take minor road on left signed Tresham. In just under a mile, road bends sharp left. Park on verge beyond.
No refreshments in Tresham but option for lunch at Cross Hands pub on return journey on A46 (on left by traffic lights and junction with B4040 for Acton Turville).
