A walk with some excellent panoramic views from the Trig Points, (weather permitting!).
From the RSPB Reserve, we will walk to the Trig Point on Gelliwastad.
We then head down through Pant-y-Coedcae to Rhydypandy then to Salem before following the following the path to the Lower Lliw Reservoir.
We will ascend from there to the Upper Lliw Reservoir, then the Trig Point at Tor Clawdd. We then return to the RSPB Reserve via Craig Cefn Parc.
Stiles: There may be one or two stiles.
Toilets: After the walk in the pub.
Terrain: We will mainly be using footpaths but some parts of the walk will be on quiet country roads. Some of the walking will be on very rough ground. Due to the terrain, strong footwear is advisable. The first part of the walk is a steady climb, then a variety of descents, ascents and flat terrain.
Social after walk:
Afterwards, we will go for refreshments to the New Inn.
