Overview

If driving - park in overflow section of village hall carpark, adjacent to village shop (drinks and snacks available). If travelling by bus - X1 to the Black Horse pub and a short walk or S9 to Ashfields Lane (A338) and 10-15 min walk. We will walk east across open landscape to the old canal, under the railway to Ardington Lane, past Ardington Wick, then cross A417 to Ardington. Possible quick stop at The Grocer Chef in Ardington for a drink and snack. Return across A417, past Field Barn Farm towards Neville’s Farm, then follow old canal and Pill Ditch, crossing A338 at top of Grove, north back along Cow Lane to East Hanney.
