Overview

Circular walk around the perimeter of RSPB Minsmere Reserve OR, for the serious ornithologists, a visit inside the Reserve (free for RSPB members} and then meet up with the walkers for lunch.

The walk is a nice mix of wooded paths, coastal paths, river paths, and open heathland with views into the Minsmere Reserve at times, with the chance of an ice cream stop half way. The existing dome of Sizewell will also be seen at times. A link to the map of the walk is provided below.

Please note that this walk was planned originally as a coach trip. Please now travel independently or by car sharing. Due to construction of Sizewell C roads are closed in places and so avoid Leiston in particular. The best route to Eastbridge is via the A1120 from Stowmarket to Yoxford, then the B1122 to Theberton and turn left past the church down Church Street towards Eastbridge. The journey time from Saffron Walden should be around 1 hour 45 mins – 2 hours. Please arrive in time to pre-order lunch.
