Overview

We will walk from the car park opposite Long Ash garden centre to Buckland Monachorum and then on up to Berra tor for a break. Bring your own drinks and snacks as usual. Return is around the top of the moorland above the Walkham valley.  When recced (Sunday 30/11) views were splendid.

Expect a wet and muddy section down to Buckland Monachorum and along by the stream. There are several styles on this stretch including at least one without provision for dogs. Once on open moorland sheep are grazing.

Refreshments (at least drinks and cake) at Long Ash garden centre cafe at the end.

Please let me know by SMS (07579790872) or email if you plan to join me as I will limit the group to 15.

I will drive through Tavistock on the way to the start and can pick up a maximum of 3 people by specific request to the number above.
