We are the Tavistock Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting at Princetown, we pass South Hessary Tor and walk to Nun's Cross. We will walk alongside the Devonport Leat and descend the Aqueduct paying a visit to Crazywell pool on the way. We then walk up to Black Tor and Logan Stone and along a disused railway back to Princetown. tracks, leat-side paths and rough Moorland
Dogs at Owners discretion.
We will stop for coffee and lunch breaks. Tea shop and pub in Princetown if anyone would like a pint or cuppa after the walk.
Care needs to be taken down the Aqueduct which can be tricky after heavy rainfall, also some watery crossings after heavy rain.
bring something to sit on and full waterproofs, walking poles also recommended if you have any . carpark at Princetown contactless or Ringo daily rate £5 .40 or roadside leading down to Village free parking
