Transport to Walk Start: 10:36 train from Manchester Victoria station (final destination Leeds).

Meet Point:  Near the ticket barriers or on the platform at Victoria Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train or at Walsden Station. Drivers are advised to park at Littleborough and join us on the train at 10:58.

Suggested Ticket: Off Peak Day Return to Walsden £10.20.

Walk Start: Walsden Railway Station at 11:05.

Waypoints: Pasture Side Farm, Foul Clough Road, Coolam, Hades Hill, Middle Hill, Watergrove Reservoir, Dobbin Hill, Higher Shore, Rochdale Canal.

Return Services: From Littleborough: x:03/04 & x:30 until 22:03, then 22:26, 23:03, 23:44, 00:02.

Extra: No toilets at walk start or en route. Optional drinks after the walk at the Red Lion in Littleborough.

The walk starts with a steep uphill section from the railway station and continues gradually for another two miles. We then continue on good paths and bridleways, making our way over the moors until we reach Watergrove Reservoir. We then follow the Pennine Bridleway before eventually reaching Shore and the outskirts of Littlebrough.

Some paths are wet and muddy and boots are a must.

A moderate degree of fitness is required for this walk.
