This is a leisurely walk from West Bridgford heading along the south bank of the River Trent to Wlford. After crossing the River, the secord part of the walk is along the north bank of the Trent to Trent bridge. After crossing the River once again, we head along the river bank to the Hook and make our way back to the start via part of the old Grantham Canal.
This walk is part of the Flat 5 Series (about 5 miles and mainly flat). There are no stiles and the paths are well made. Mostly the walk is along paths with some road walking.
There is no need to book for this walk, just turn up on the day.
During the walk, there will be a drinks stop. After the walk, there is the opportunity to grab a drink, snack or meal at one of the local cafes or restaurants.
There are several car parks in the area (charges apply).
Public transport: frequent buses from Nottingham city centre, Keyworth, Cotgrave, Edwalton, Radcliffe. Please check before travelling.
