The walk start point is in front of the railway station.

Our route follows the Midshires Way to Taxal Church, after crossing long hill we pass Shallcross Hall, Shallcross Incline and the Shallcross.
The route skirts Ladder Hill above Combs Reservoir & we descend to Tunstead Farm then cross the dam. Crossing the main road into Chapel we skirt the golf course to Bradshaw Hall up to Lidgate and our final ascent to Eccles Pike.
Descending towards Buxworth we return to Whaley Bridge via Mosley Hall Farm and Bings Road to the lower end of Shallcross Incline and Whaley Bridge.
