Overview

Exploring the wide-open spaces of Fenns, Whixall and Bettisfield Mosses National Nature Reserve, on both sides of the border. Our route will be flat and despite recent rain, the trails are fine with only small pools of standing water. Nevertheless waterproof boots are recommended. From Morris’ bridge we will visit the Marlot local nature reserve and cross Whixall Moss to Mammoth viewing tower. Then we will continue across the Moss to Cornhill Bridge. We will return via Bettisfield Moss and a short section of the Ellesmere canal (Prees branch).
