A circular walk in one of the less frequented areas of the county hard up against the Wiltshire border. A mixture of woodland, pasture and enclosed tracks. Lunch will be available at the Black Horse in West Tytherley; a traditional, ungentrified village pub known for its “loaded naan” lunchtime snacks. Contact the walk leader to place your order two days in advance.
Some of the route is on paths across pasture which, given the relentlessly wet weather, are waterlogged and heavy going; boots rather than walking shoes are recommended. There will be a break for coffee or other refreshments at about 11.00, so bring a drink with you. There are 5 or 6 stiles in the morning; 1 or 2 in the afternoon.
