Overview

A walk up Crimp Hill into Windsor Great Park via Bears Rail Gate and the deer park to the Long Walk and up to the Copper Horse where there are tremendous views across to Windsor and London, on a fine day. We continue past Ox Pond to the Savill Building (toilets and refreshments) before returning through the deer park back to Old Windsor. Optional pub lunch at The Fox and Castle in Old Windsor at the end of the walk.

Meet in the free car park at Old Windsor Recreation Ground, Robin Willis Way, Off St Luke's Road, Old Windsor. Turn left into Robin Willis Way just after Silcress Hair Design on St Luke's Road. If travelling on public transport the number 8 bus from Slough and Windsor to Staines stops by the recreation ground on Straight Road.
