The journey begins at Williton station, where we catch the train at 10.43 am heading to Crowcombe. Upon arrival at Crowcombe, we will pause for a coffee or tea break, allowing everyone to refresh before continuing the walk.
After the break, we follow the railway via a country road, turning off towards Roebuck Farm. The route then takes us through a blend of fields and wooded areas, eventually leading to Stogumber station. Here we have the opportunity to purchase a cream tea or other snacks for lunch.
Following lunch, we continue to walk closely alongside the railway line towards Yard Farm. At this point, we depart from the railway and head towards Turk’s Castle Camp, Curdon Farm, Vellow Wood Farm, and Beech Tree Cross. It is here that we join the Coleridge Way, which we follow to Sampford Brett.
From Sampford Brett, we make our way back towards the railway line and return to the starting point, completing the circular route.
