Group name: Stirling, Falkirk & District
This group is a part of Forth Valley, Fife & Tayside Area.
Our activities include:
Groups aimed at people in their 40s, Groups aimed at people in their 20s and 30s
Our groups help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Most groups organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore
Our Group is a member of the Forth Valley, Fife & Tayside Area of the Ramblers Association. We walk every weekend, usually on a Sunday and most of our walks are between 7 and 12 miles with varied ascent. All walks are graded – see Group Info for description of the Grades. For full details of our walks see Walks Programme
On Sundays we meet at Linden Avenue Car Park (LACP) in Stirling to allow car sharing. On some walks we go by coach which allows us to go further afield or to do linear walks. Booking with the Walk Leader for these walks is essential and there is a charge for the coach.
The Group arranges walking weekends away and our members also enjoy several social outings throughout the year.
New and prospective members are very welcome but please contact the walk leader before the walk so that we know to expect you. For your first walk with us you are advised to choose one that might be “too easy” rather than overstretch yourself. There is no charge for your first few walks with us but you will then be expected to join the Ramblers Association.
Our Group also has a sub group dedicated to Young Walkers.See
