We are the Pocklington Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting at Bishop Wilton Village Hall, this 6.5 mile morning walk will precede the Pocklington AGM starting at 1.30pm. Members are welcome to come on this walk even if they cannot come to our exciting AGM.
There will be a number of rough tracks, steep ascents and descents in this walk, but it will be in the attractive and undulating scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds, promising fine views (on a good day).
From Bishop Wilton Village Hall we will walk through the Churchyard and attractive village before starting the ascent up to Bishop Wilton Wold. After crossing Beacon Road we do a full tour of Deep Dale, walking on the Access Land and returning on footpaths back to Beacon Road along Worsen Dale to the Village Hall
For those attending the Pocklington AGM there will be a free buffet lunch at 1pm prior the the AGM meeting at 1.30pm. This needs to be pre-booked with our chair, Kate Plumb, by email.
