Mostly farmland, old drover tracks with streams and little woodland, gentle climbs, no stiles and little mud on the pre walk. Very little road walking. Optional pub lunch in Alresford or picnic in the nearby churchyard.
Walk is 5 miles in the morning and 3 miles after lunch - not a figure of 8 but if you are able to get a lift to the start and only wish to walk the morning, there are frequent busses from Alresford back to Winchester. N.B. Cover for "comfort stops" is a bit sparse, so arrive early at the start.
Please note that pub lunch will be at The Horse & Groom in Alresford and they need an order on Monday 6th, which is Bank Holiday Monday, so please let me have an order by 4 pm on 6th April latest. You will find the menu on their website.
