We are the Uttlesford Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Ian will lead an 8 Mile circular walk from High Easter, which will be his first walk as an official Ramblers walk leader. Commencing at 10:00 this walk is moderate and flat with no styles. Duration, 3.5 - 4 hours, dependant on length of mid point break.
Some of the walk involves crossing recently planted fields that may be soft ground and muddy if there is any recent precipitation. At just over half way we will arrive in the village of Pleshey where we can take a short break at the pond or Leather Bottle PH if open.
On this occasion a pub lunch is not being organised. However, there are several good pubs in the vicinity (Black Lion High Roding, Axe & Compasses Aythorpe Roding, Spotted Dog Barnston) or light refreshments in the Snug cafe High Easter. So individuals / groups have lots of choice.
